Order made by the Governor in Council under section 39 (4) of the Rating Ordinance, 1901, Ordinance No. 6 of 1901, this 6th day of February, 1939.
(i) All the buildings situate within the precincts of the areas occupied by the Hong Kong University other than those used as residences for the staff, and
(ii) All those residences occupied by the staff situate within the precincts of the said University's property
shall be totally exempted from assessment for rates.

ORDINANCE No. 36 of 1931. (LIQUORS).
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 38 and 88 of the Liquors Ordinance, 1931, the Governor in Council hereby appoints the Superintendent of Imports and Exports to exercise all the duties in connexion with Canteen Licences hitherto granted by the Governor in Council under section 37 of the said Ordinance. The licences shall be in the form in the Schedule hereto, with such variations in the conditions as the Superintendent shall consider appropriate.
