It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor in Council has given directions for the rescission of the Order of the 27th June, 1938 published in the Gazette of the 28th June, 1938 as Government Notification No. 496 declaring Macao to be a place at which an infectious or contagious disease, namely, cholera, prevailed, and the same is hereby rescinded.

ORDINANCE No. 13 of 1935. [PUBLIC HEALTH (FOOD)].

By virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 (1) of the Public Health (Food) Ordinance, 1935, as enacted by section 7 of the Public Health (Food) Amendment Ordinance, 1936, (Ordinance No. 39 of 1936) and being satisfied that, owing to special conditions, it is undesirable to enforce, before the 1st of April, 1939, the amendments in the by-laws in the Schedule to the Ordinance first above-mentioned set out in Government Notification No. 379 in the Hong Kong Government Gazette No. 20 of the 13th May, 1938, the Governor in Council hereby orders that, notwithstanding any- thing to the contrary therein contained, the said amendments shall not be enforced until the 1st day of April, 1939.
