South Coast of Honshu.

NOTICE is heseby given that, the following beacon light which erected on Kadoishi reef, near Himagashima, Morosaki suido, Prov. of Owari (see Notification No. 880 of Department of Communications, July, 1918), has been exhibited sine the 30th October, 1918-

Kadoishi Beacon Light.

Position:---Lat. 34° 42′ 11′′ N., Long. 136° 59′ 24′′ E. (According to Japanese

Admiralty Chart No. 1054.)

Description:-Lower part concrete, upper part iron lattice work, painted red. Height of light--36 Shaku above the water.

Character of light :-Acetylene gas flashing white, showing one flash in every

3 seconds.

Illuminated are:---The whole horizon.

Power:-150 candles.

Visible distance:--11 nautical miles in clear night.

N.B.—If the light being kept no attendance, go out by accident, there may be some delay in relighting it.

NOTICE is hereby given that, the candle power of the light of Anori Zaki lighthouse, entrance to Matoya harbour, province of Shima, has been increased as follows since the 5th of November, 1918:-

Anori Zaki Lighthouse.

Power :--6,000 candles.

Shanghai District-Yangtze River.

ACTEON SHOALS TO VINE POINT.

Intended Alterations in Buoyage.

NOTICE is hereby given that on or about the 22nd November, 1918, the following alterations will be made in the buoyage of the Yangtze River between the Acteon Shoals and Vine Point:-

The Acteon Shoal Upper Buoy will be discontinued.

A black Buoy, surmounted by a black inverted triangular daymark, will be moored on the northern edge of the shoal that extends to the eastward from Plover Point. From this Buoy, Plover Point Beacon will bear about S. 86° W., distant 3:37 miles. This Buoy will be known as the Knuckle Buoy.

The Plover Point Buoy will be discontinued.
