Kimpai Middle Ground. Southern Channel.
Position of Buoy Changed,
NOTICE is hereby given that the red conical buoy marking the channel to the south- ward of the Kimpai Middle Ground, Min River, has been moved in consequence of the disappearance of the greater part of the Middle Ground during the late freshets. From the Buoy in its present position the Headland on the Southern side of the Kimpai Pass bears N. 83° E. (Mag.) distant 43 cables. The buoy is moored in 16 feet at Low Water of spring tides.

NOTICE TO MARINERS, No. 14.
Kiungchow District, Hainan Island.
NOTICE is hereby given that a concrete beacon now under construction on Hainan Reef will be finished on or about the 10th July, and that the Reef Buoy will be perma- nently removed from her present position on or about the said date.
Characteristics of the Beacon :
A concrete beacon is being erected on the extreme end of the Hainan Reef, 10 ft. square by 6 ft. high, surmounted by a black painted steel cylinder 8 ft. high by 2 ft. diameter. The total height of the structure above high water will be 12 ft.
From the Beacon, Hainan Bluff-summit-bears S. 42° W. magnetic, distant 1:19 miles.
Vessels should pass the Beacon at a distance of 3 cables.
