COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 94. It is hereby notified that information has been received that Singapore has declared Hongkong to be an infected port on account of cerebro-spinal fever and that, until further notice, the landing in Singapore of deck passengers from Hongkong is absolutely prohibited.

Hongkong declared an infected port on account of cerebro- spinal meningitis. All ships leaving Hongkong after 2nd March to call at Koh Phra to get pratique.

Quarantine imposed on all arrivals from Hongkong.

Swatow.

Saigon.

Quarantine imposed on all arrivals from Hongkong.

Tientsin.

All vessels arriving from Hongkong will be inspected. Per- sons suspected of infection will be isolated and in such event the vessel will be disinfected. If any cases of cerebro-spinal meningitis are discovered the vessel and all passengers to Indo-China will be put in quarantine for six days and disinfected. No restrictions as regards load- ing and disembarking cargo.

All vessels arriving from Hongkong are to abide, and be governed, by the Sanitary Regulations for the ports of Tientsin and Chinwangtao.
