HARBOUR NOTIFICATION.
No. 4 of 1918.
(Harbour Improvement Commission Work).
Chefoo Harbour Entrance.
NOTICE is hereby given that on account of dredging operations the Red Gas Lighted Buoy marking the Eastern end of the Mole will be removed for a short period on or about the 3rd April. When remoored its then position will be Tower Hill Light House bearing S. 10° E. magnetic, distant 3,040 feet.
Masters of Vessels are cautioned that when entering and leaving the Inner Harbour they are to pass between the Black Gas Lighted Buoy and the dredger which will exhibit two powerful electric lamps from Sunset to Sunrise. Vessels must not approach within 200 feet of the dredger. When nearing and passing they are to go dead slow.

Chinwangtao-Gulf of Pechili.
Chinwangtao Light: to be permanently discontinued.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Chinwangtao Light, situated near the south-western extremity of the bluff at Chinwangtao, will be permanently discontinued after the 8th April, 1918.
By arrangement the Kailan Mining Administration will exhibit their wharf lights from sunset to sunrise to serve as an aid to navigation for the approach to the port.
