No. 1218. It is hereby notified that Mr. JAMES RALSTON resumed his appointment. as a Director of the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions on 24th October, 1940.

No. 1219. With reference to Government Notification No. 219 of 10th April, 1931, His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Commander FRANCIS WILLIAM CROWTHER, D.S.C., R.N., (Retired), to be a Member of the Harbour Advisory Committee, vice Commander DOUGLAS HUGH STUART CRAVEN, R.N., resigned, with effect from 30th October, 1940.

No. 1220. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. WALTER REGINALD NAHUMN ANDREWs to act as Clerk to the Board of Review pursuant to Section 40 of the War Revenue Ordinance No. 13 of 1940, during the absence of Mr. DOUGLAS HARVEY COLLINS TAYLOR, with effect from 1st November, 1940.

No. 1221.-- His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. GERALD ARCHER GOODBAN, M.A., who has been nominated by the Hong Kong Grant Schools Council, to be a member of the Board of Education for a period of two years, with effect from 1st November, 1940.
