APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 1144.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint the following to be a Justice of the Peace for the Colony of Hong Kong:-

No. 1145.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased under the powers conferred by section 4 (1) of the Compulsory Service Ordi- nance, 1939, No. 32 of 1939, to appoint Lieutenant Commander LAWRENCE LIONEL TOLLEMACHE, Royal Navy, (Retired), to be a member of the Compulsory Service Tribunal in the place of Commander WILLIAM PATRICK MCCARTHY, Royal Navy.

No. 1146.-Ilis Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint, under section of the Education Ordinance, No. 26 of 1913, CONSTANTINE CONSTANTINOVICH PETROVSKY, M.B., B.S. (H.K.), to be Inspector of Schools, with effect from 1st October, 1940.

No. 1147.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint, under section 4 of the Education Ordinance, No. 26 of 1913, TAI HON-SHAM, M.B., Ch.B. (Edin.), to be Inspector of Schools, with effect from 3rd October, 1940.

No. 1148.-It is hereby notified that Mr. KARSTEN LARSSEN, Consul for Denmark at Hong Kong resumed charge of the Danish Consulate, on 15th October, 1940.

18th October, 1940.

No. 1149.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint, under the provisions of section 3, sub-section (1), of the Factories and Workshops Ordinance No. 18 of 1937, Mr. NG HONG-SU () to be an Assistant Inspector of Labour, Factories and Workshops, with effect from 11th October, 1940.

12th October, 1940.

No. 1150.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, under Section 3 (3) of the Vaccination Ordinance, 1923, Ordinance No. 12 of 1923, to cancel the appointment of Miss MAY WONG (E) to act as a Public Vaccinator, which was published in Government Notification No. 918 of 9th October, 1939, with effect from 1st October, 1940.
