ORDINANCE No. 32 of 1939. (COMPULSORY SERVICE).
His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, pursuant to Section 11 (7) of the Compulsory Service Ordinance, 1939, to permit the following persons to quit the Hong Kong Defence Reserve, with effect from 19th September, 1940.

ORDINANCE No. 30 of 1933. (NAVAL VOLUNTEER).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Naval Volunteer Ordinance, 1933, His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government dispenses with the services of Warrant Officer WILLIAM WHITING as a member of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force.
