APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 1046.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. THOMAS JACKSON HOUSTON to be Deputy Superintendent of Inland Revenue, Deputy Estate Duty Commissioner and Assistant Collector of Stamp Revenue, with effect from the 16th September, 1940.

No. 1047. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint under section 3 (9) of Ordinance No. 7 of 1935, Mr. LEONARD CHARLES FENTON BELLAMY, M.C., to be a Member of the Urban Council for a further term of three years, with effect from 19th September, 1910.

No. 1048.-His Excellency the Oflicer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. CECIL. GRAHAM PERDUE to act as Commissioner of Police and Chief Officer, Fire Brigade, during the absence on leave of the Honourable Mr. THOMAS HENRY KING or until further notice, with effect from the 21st September, 1940.

No. 1049.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. WALTER RICHARDSON SCOTT to act as Deputy Commissioner of Police, with effect from the 21st September, 1940, until further notice.
