ORDINANCE No. 8 of 1921. (STAMP).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Stamp Ordinance, 1921, the Governor in Council hereby amends heading 36 in the Schedule to the said Ordinance by the addition of the following to the list of exemptions in the second column---

Amendment.

(h) Receipt for a gift to any fund or organization which the Collector is satisfied was established and is applied or maintained solely for purposes of charity or public welfare, and which holds a valid certificate in writing from the Collector to that effect.

ORDINANCE No. 7 of 1926. (POST OFFICE).

By virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the Post Office Ordinance, 1926, and of all other powers him enabling, the Governor in Council herely amends the Class A rates of postage published as Government Notification No. 657 in the Gazette of 26th August, 1938, as follows:-

(1) The destination New Zealand and its dependencies and the mandated territory of Western Samoa" is deleted but is re-instated as Rate No. 2a immediately before Rate No. 3 and the rates "$1.50 for each half ounce and $0.75" are inserted in the 3rd and 4th columns respec- tively opposite such destination; underneath the said rates and across both columns the words "By air to Auckland, New Zealand." are added.

(2) At the foot of Rate No. 2a the following is added as a note, viz.,

The surface transport rate will be covered by Rate No. 3.
