ORDINANCE No. 6 of 1940. (HONG KONG CORPS OF

AIR RAID WARDENS).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 (2) (d) of the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1939, as applied to this Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1939, as respectively amended by the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1940, and the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1940, His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government makes the following regulation amending section 2 of the Hong Kong Corps of Air Raid Wardens Ordinance, 1940, so as to provide for the recognition of the office and rank of "Group Warden" under the definition of subordinate officers

Amendment.

Section 2 (d) of the Hong Kong Corps of Air Raid Wardens, Ordinance, 1940, is amended by the insertion of the words Group Wardens" between the words "Deputy Dis- trict Wardens and the words “ Senior Wardens ".

ORDINANCE No. 32 of 1939.

His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, pursuant to Section 11 (7) of the Compul- sory Service Ordinance, 1939, to permit PATRICK RAWSON WANKLYN to quit the Hong Kong Defence Reserve, with effect from 9th July, 1940.
