ORDINANCE No. 18 of 1935. (BUILDINGS).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 (2) (d) of the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1939, as applied to this Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council. 1939, as respectively amended by the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1940, and the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1940. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government makes the following regulation amending section 92 of the Buildings Ordinance. 1935 :-
Amendment.
The following proviso is added at the end of section 92 (1) of the Buildings Ordinance, 1935—
Provided that, during any period of War between His Majesty and any Foreign State or States, if the building is erected for the protection or defence of any person or build- ing such consent may be given by the Director of Public Works if he considers that reference to the Governor in Council will involve unnecessary delay. Such consent may be made conditional on the removal of the building as and when directed by the Director of Public Works.
