Ordinance.

8. The Chief Justice may make such rules and give such directions as he thinks fit for the purpose of giving full effect to the provisions of this Ordinance relative to legal proceedings.

9. As long as the Prevention of Eviction Consolidation and Amendment Ordinance, 1939, shall be in force, this Ordinance shall not apply to any dwelling house to which that Ordinance applies.

10. This Ordinance shall continue in force as long as the War Revenue Ordinance, 1940, shall be in force.

No. 680.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, under instructions from the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint the Honourable Mr. HENRY ROBERT BUTTERS to be Financial Secretary, with effect from 1st January, 1940.

20th June, 1940.

No. 681.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint HENRY JOSEPH PEARCE, Esq., M.C., to be Accommodation Officer, with effect from 19th May, 1940, until further notice.

21st June, 1940.
