By Ilis Excellency NORMAN LOCKHART SMITH, Esquire, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Officer Administering the Government of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies.

I. the said NORMAN LOCKHART SMITH, being satisfied thereof by information received by me, do hereby proclaim that war has broken out between Ilis Majesty and Italy.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony at Victoria, Hong Kong, this 11th day of June, 1940.
