ORDINANCE No. 32 of 1939. (COMPULSORY SERVICE).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 (2) (d) of the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1939, as applied to this Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council. 1939, published respectively as Govern- ment Notifications Nos. 707 and 708 in the Gazette Extra- ordinary No. 39 of the 26th August. 1989. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government makes the follow- ing regulation amending the first proviso to section 11 (2) of the Compulsory Service Ordinance. 1989, raising the maximum age of compulsory assignment to the combatant group.
Amendment.
The first proviso to section 11 (2) of the Compulsory Service Ordinance. 1939, is amended by the substitution of the words "forty six years
forty six years for the words "forty one
years".

HONG KONG DOLLAR LOAN ORDINANCE, 1934.
No. 605.-Notice is hereby given under section 5 (4) of the above Ordinance, that His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has appointed Wednesday, the 19th day of June, 19-10, as the day on which bonds to the value of one twenty-fifth of the amount issued in June, 1934, shall be drawn for redemption on the 15th day of July, 1940.
The drawing will be held in the Urban Council Chamber at 11 o'clock in the morning.
