No. 568.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. HENRY JOSEPH PEARCE, M.C., M. Inst. Struct. E., L.R.I.B.A., provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, temporarily to be a Member of the Legislative Council, during the absence on leave of Mr. ALEXANDER BRUCE PURVES, M. Inst., C.E., or until further notice, with effect from the 19th May, 1940.

No. 569. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint the Honourable Mr. HENRY JOSEPH PEARCE, M.C., M. Inst. Struct. E., L.R.I.B.A., to act as Director of Public Works, during the absence on leave of Mr. ALEXANDER BRUCE PURVES, M. Inst. C.E., with effect from the 19th May, 1910.
