No. 521.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve the following promotions in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 23rd April, 1940-

(a) To be Captains:—

Lieutenant ROBERT KEITH VALENTINE.

Lieutenant CEDRIC BLAKER, M.C.

Lieutenant GEOFFREY MISKIN.

Lieutenant DAVID LOUIS STRELLETT.

(b) Sergeant LESLIE WOODWARD TIPPLE to be Second Lieutenant.

No. 522.-It is hereby notified that Mr. KATSUO OKAZAKI, Consul-General for Japan at Hong Kong resumed charge of the Consulate-General for Japan on 3rd May, 1940.
