THE HONG KONG GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, APRIL 26, 1940.

No. 477.

The following is published for general information :----

All orders for foodstuffs from the United Kingdom for consignment to Hong Kong should in future be submitted to the Controller of Food for endorsement before they are despatched. As no control is at present being exercised on the export from the United Kingdom of many articles of food endorsement in the ease of such foodstuffs will be merely formal. Neglect to secure endorsement may, however, result in loss of priority of shipment by the exporters, and consignees are therefore advised to obtain endorsement in advance in all cases.
