ORDINANCE No. 7 of 1926, (POST OFFICE).
By virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the Post Office Ordinance, 1926, and of all other powers him enabling the Governor in Council hereby amends the Class A rates of postage published as Government Notification 657 in the Gazette of 26th August, 1938, as follows:-
Amendments.
1. Opposite Rate No. 2 the rate appearing in the third column is deleted and the figures and words "15 cents for the first ounce and 10 cents for each additional ounce or part of an ounce" are substituted therefor, and underneath thereof the figures and words "$1.15 by air" are added.

In the fourth column immediately below the figures and word “10 cents the figures and words $0.52 by air are added.

2. In the Note after Rate No. 5 the words Except where otherwise specified Rates Nos. 1 to 5 cover surface transport only" are substituted for the words "Letters and postcards for destinations to which Rate No. 2 applies will be transmitted normally by air throughout, and those for destinations to which Rates Nos. 1. 3, 4 and 5 apply, normally by surface transport 2.
3. Opposite Rate No. 18 the figures $1.15 and $0.52 are substituted for $0.35 and $0.20 respectively in the third and fourth columns.
4. Opposite Rate No. 19 the figures $1.15 and $0.52 are substituted for $0.80 and $0.35 respectively in the third and fourth columns.
5. Opposite Rate No. 20 the figure $0.60 is substituted for $0.50 in the fourth column.
6. Opposite Rate No. 24 the figures $1.15 and $0.52 are substituted for $0.35 and $0.18 respectively in the third and fourth columns.
7. Opposite Rate No. 26 the figures $1.15 and $0.52 are substituted for $0.70 and $0.35 respectively in the third and fourth columns.
8. Opposite Rate No. 27 the figure $0.60 is substituted for $0.50 in the fourth column.
9. Opposite Rate No. 29 the figures $1.15 and $0.52 are substituted for $0.80 and $0.40 respectively in the third and fourth columns.
10. Opposite Rate No. 30 the figures $1.15 and $0.52 are substituted for $0.50 and $0.25 respectively in the third and fourth columns.
