4. In view of the loss shown in the Valuation there is no profit available for distri- bution under Article 100 of the Articles of Association of the Company or otherwise.
5. The deficit of $94,176.15 was covered by a Reserve Fund which amounted to $400,910.27 as at 20th March, 1939, from which Mr. Sturt has recommended to the Company that a sum to cover the deficit be formally appropriated. Mr. Sturt has also recommended to the Company that no further Bonus be paid on policies maturing after 20th March, 1939.
