ORDINANCE No. 13 of 1985. (PUBLIC HEALTH [FOOD]).
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Public Health (Food) Ordinance, 1935, the Urban Council makes the following further amendment to the by-laws under the heading "Markets" set forth in the Schedule to the above mentioned Ordinance :-
Amendment.
By-law 6 as amended by Government Notification No. 707 published in the Government Gazette of the 28th August, 1936, is further amended by the addition of the following condition after Condition (5) thereof :-
In addition to the powers conferred by Condition (1), in the event of a stall holder, or a relative holding in his stead, remaining in possession of a market stall, whether that originally let or one substituted therefor, for a period of five years from the date of the first letting, the Council shall have power to vary the rental of such stall without cancelling the tenancy and calling for sealed tenders for further letting.
