374. No building except a godown shall be used for the storage of Category 8 dangerous goods in bulk.

375. No godown shall be connected with any tenement building or with any premises used wholly for domestic pur- poses unless it is separated therefrom by partitions constructed of fire-resisting material to the satisfaction of the Licensing Authority.

376. Alternative means of escape from fire shall be provided, to the satisfaction of the Licensing Authority, in every godown or tenement building which is used wholly or in part for any process of manufacture of Category 8 dangerous goods.

377.(1) The Chief Officer of the Fire Brigade shall keep a register of all premises in which Category 8 dangerous goods are stored, and the owner, principal tenant, lessee, occupier or keeper of such premises shall, within 48 hours of the delivery to the premises of any Category 8 dangerous goods, furnish to the Chief Officer of the Fire Brigade full particulars of such goods, for entry on the register.

(2) This regulation shall not apply to godowns used solely for storage purposes.

378. (1) If, in the opinion of the Chief Officer of the Fire Brigade, there is, in any godown or tenement building, a serious risk of fire, it shall be lawful for the Chief Officer of the Fire Brigade to serve upon the owner, principal tenant, lessec, occupier or keeper of such godown or tenement build- ing a notice in writing--

(a) requiring the execution of structural works in, and alterations to such godown or tenement building with a view to reducing the risk of fire,

(b) specifying in detail the nature of such structural works and alterations, and

(e) specifying the time within which such structural works and alterations shall be completed.

(2) Any person served with such a notice may, instead of complying with the notice, and subject to the approval of the Chief Officer of the Fire Brigade, remove the Category 8 dangerous goods stored in the godown or tenement building in respect whereof the notice is served to some other godown or tenement building.

(3) Any person who, after being served with such a notice, ---

(a) fails to comply therewith, or

(b) fails to remove the Category 8 dangerous goods in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (2) of this regulation,

within the time specified in the notice, shall be deemed to commit a breach of this regulation.

379.-(1) The Chief Officer of the Fire Brigade may, in his discretion, prohibit the use of naked lights of any descrip- tion whatever in any godown or tenement building, and may, in the like discretion, require the owner, principal tenant,
