(b) "container" means any receptacle used in a storage place for the storage of any Category 4 dangerous goods.
273. Every storage place used for the storage of quantities of Category 4 dangerous goods not exceeding in the aggregate 100 gallons shall be situated in an area approved by the Licensing Authority and the Director of Public Works.
274. Every storage place used for the storage of quantities of Category 4 dangerous goods exceeding in the aggregate 100 gallons but not exceeding in the aggregate 500 gallons, shall be situated in such an area and on such a site as may be specially approved by the Licensing Authority and the Director of Public Works.
275. Every storage place shall be built of such materials as the Chief Officer of the Fire Brigade and the Building Authority shall approve.
276. (1) Every storage place shall be provided with- (a) ventilators situated in the roof or as near as possible to the top of the walls, and
(b) ventilators situated immediately above the level of the door sill.
(2) Every ventilator shall be covered internally with double fine brass wire gauze having a mesh of not less than 28 to the linear inch and externally with iron gratings.
277.--(1) The door of every storage place shall be constructed of fire-resisting material.
(2) The level of the door sill shall be not less than twelve inches above the level of the floor of the storage place.
278. Subject to the provisions of regulations 276 and 277, there shall be no openings in any wall of any storage place.
279. No storage place which forms part of any building shall be situated under or near any staircase, external fire escape, or other means of egress likely to be used for escape in case of fire, unless the storage place is separated from the staircase, external fire escape, or other means of egress by a substantial fire-resisting partition.
280. All tanks, roofs, floors and walls, and all pipes, pumps, machinery and apparatus used in any storage place shall at all times be maintained in a thorough state of repair and free from leakage.
281. No alteration shall be made to any tank or to any special apparatus used in connexion therewith in any storage place without the permission of the Licensing Authority and the Building Authority.
282. Due precautions shall at all times be taken to prevent any Category 4 dangerous goods from entering any sewer or any drain communicating with any sewer,
or the harbour, or any watercourse.
