6. Section 10 of the Ordinance shall not apply to-- (a)--(i) quantities of calcium carbide not exceeding 100 lbs. in weight and stored, in canisters not containing more than 1 lb. each, in a dry and ventilated place,

(ii) a single cylinder of compressed oxygen of a capacity not exceeding 5 cu. ft. or 120 atmospheres and attached to any special breathing or resuscitating apparatus,

(iii) a single cylinder of dissolved acetylene of a capacity not exceeding 5 cu. ft., used in connexion with any special lighting apparatus, and labelled. in English and Chinese, "Dissolved acetylene-Dangerous",

(iv) a single cylinder of compressed carbonic acid of a capacity not exceeding 5 cu. ft. used in connexion with any special plant and labelled, in English and Chinese, "Com- pressed Carbonic Acid-Dangerous”,

(v) a single cylinder of compressed ammonia gas used in connexion with any cooling plant and adequately protected against leakage and, where the capacity of such cylinder exceeds 5 cu. ft., accompanied by provision of a patent breathing apparatus of a type approved by the Licensing Authority and, if required by the Licensing Authority, a system of water drenchers operated by a valve in a suitable position,

(vi) Category S dangerous goods, subject to the due observance of and compliance with the regulations in Part XXVI; provided that this exemption shall not extend to (a) quantities of any of the oils included in Category 8 exceed- ing 500 gallons or (b) any quantity of any of such oils kept for filtering, refining, or treating in any manner so as to obtain kerosene, or

(b) subject to the due observance of and compliance with the regulations in Part XVIII to-

(i) quantities of inflammable liquids not exceeding 4 gallons in all, stored, in a manner approved by the Licensing Authority, in the tins or other containers in which such liquids were imported or, after being imported in bulk, first placed, and kept for private use and not for sale,

(ii) quantities of inflammable liquids stored in the fuel tank or tanks of any motor vehicle, motor boat, aircraft, or engine,

(iii) quantities of inflammable liquids not exceeding 30 lbs. in all and stored in containers each having a capacity not exceeding one gallon which are exposed for sale in numbers not exceeding 10 at any one time and which, when not exposed for sale, are kept in a closed metal bin,

from

(iv) quantities of inflammable liquids made petroleum not exceeding 100 gallons in all and stored, in accordance with any regulations relating to such storage, in the fuel tanks of motor vehicles in a garage or other building or erection (not being a public garage) capable of accom- modating not more than 10 such vehicles at any one time or in the fuel tanks of motor boats, aircraft, motor lawn mowers, motor rollers, motor sweepers or stationary engines used for domestic or agricultural purposes or for the generation of power, heat, or light.

7. Sections 8, 9 and 13 of the Ordinance shall not apply to Category 8 dangerous goods.
