Hong Kong.

In exercise of the powers conferred by the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1939, as extended to the Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1939, published respectively by Government Notification Nos. 707 and 708 in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 39 of the 26th August, 1939, His Excellency the Governor makes the following regulations:----

Regulations for the control of fishing.

1. No person shall carry out any of the operations for fishing and no person shall take any fish in and from the following areas in the waters of the Colony:

(a) North of Lantao.

The area enclosed by the following boundaries:- Northern Boundary-The mainland.

Southern Boundary-The Island of Lantao.

Eastern Boundary-A line drawn true North and true South from the casternmost point of the East Brothers Island, continued until it meets the mainland on the North and the Island of Lantao on the South.

Western Boundary-A line drawn true South from Black Point on the mainland and continued until it meets the Island of Lantao.

(b) East and West Lamma Channels.

The area enclosed by the following boundaries :--

Northern Boundary--A line drawn true East and true West from the southernmost point of the Island of Ping Chau, and continued until it meets the Island of Hong Kong on the East and the Island of Lantao on the West.

Southern Boundary-A line drawn from the Port War Signal Station on Bluff Point (Taitam Peninsula) to Un Kok on Lamma Island, thence following the coast of Lamma Island to Hamitsui, thence to the southernmost point of Cheung Chau Island, thence true North West to the Island of Lantao.

Eastern Boundary-The Island of Hong Kong. Western Boundary-The Island of Lantao.

(c) Tathong Channel.

The area enclosed by the following boundaries:-

Northern Boundary-The Anti-Submarine Boom.

Southern Boundary-A line 6,000 yards long drawn from Cape D'Aguilar towards the southernmost point of the South Ninepin Island.
