WHEREAS I, Sir
Order.
GEOFFRY ALEXANDER STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, deem it expedient to exercise the powers conferred on me by regula- tion 33 of the Defence Regulations, 1939:
Now I, the said Governor, by virtue of the powers in that behalf vested in me by that regulation, DO HEREBY DECLARE the following area to be a protected area for the purposes of the Defence Regulations, 1939-
The whole of the Colony of Hong Kong except-
(1) in the island of Hong Kong, the area bounded by Tung Lo Wan Road, Tai Hang Road, Bowen Road, Garden Road to Robinson Road to Park Road, Bonham Road, Western Street, and Connaught Road;
(2) in Kowloon, the area bounded by Chatham Road, Ma Tau Wai Road, Tam Kung Road and Prince Edward Road to the sea-front and its western extremity.
Nothing in this order shall prevent a person travelling by the Star Ferry or the Hong Kong and Yaumati Ferry on direct routes between Hong Kong and Kowloon.
