Order.
WHEREAS I, Sir GEOFFRY ALEXANDER STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same. deem it expedient to exercise the powers conferred on me by regulation 46 of the Defence Regulations, 1939, published in Government Notification 737 in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 44 of the 2nd September, 1939:
Now I, the said Governor, by virtue of the powers in that behalf vested in me by that regulation, DO HEREBY ORDER as follows:-
1. No person shall ship from the Colony, for use by the ship as fuel, any bunker coal or bunker oil without a licence in writing from the Controller of Trade or any quantity of such fuel in excess of the quantity (if any) authorized in such permit.
2. This Order may be cited as the Defence (Bunker Coal and Oil) Order, 1940.
