RDINANCE No. 40 of 1912.

(VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC

REGULATION).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Vehicles and Traffic Regulation Ordinance, 1912, the Governor in Council hereby amends the regulations made under the said Ordinance appearing on pages 723 to 803 of Volume II of the Regulations of Hong Kong (1937 edition) as follows:-

Amendments.

1. The Table to Regulation No. 128 is amended by the deletion from the fourth column thereof of the figure and word "3 tons" and the substitution therefor of the figures and word “41⁄2 tons'

2. Schedule F is amended by the deletion from the second line of the second paragraph of Requirement No. 1 -Weight-of the figures and word " 3 tons and the substitution therefor of the figures and word 11⁄2 tons".

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Vehicles and Traffic Regulation Ordinance, 1912, the Governor in Council hereby amends the regulations made under the said Ordinance appearing on pages 723 to 803 of Volume II of the Regulations of Hong Kong (1937 edition) as follows:-

Regulation 153 is rescinded and the following is sub- stituted therefor :-

153. The fare for the hiring of a taxcab shall be-

IN HONG KONG :

(1) for a distance not exceeding one mile

50 cents

(2) for each quarter of a mile in excess of

one mile

(3) waiting time with meter shut off-for each

period of five minutes
