NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE.

1. With reference to paragraph 1 of Firing Notice dated 25th October, 1938.

Anti-Aircraft Firing Practice will be carried out from a position 400 yards EAST of TAI WAN TAŬ (near CLEAR WATER BAY) between the hours of 2.30 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. on 9th November, 1938.

2. The firing practice to be carried out between the hours on 7.00 p.m. and 12 midnight on 11th November, 1938, notified in Firing Notice dated 25th October, 1933, paragraph 2, is cancelled.

3. Anti-Aircraft Firing Practice will be carried out from a position 400 yards EAST of TAI WAN TAU (near CLEAR WATER BAY) between the hours of 7.00 p.m. and 12 midnight on 10th November, 1938.

Alternative night-11th November, 1938.

4. With reference to paragraph 1 of Firing Notice dated 25th October, 1938.

It is not expected that firing practice will be carried out on 12th November, 1938, but this day is reserved as an alternative date.

No. S. 421.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Tsan Yuk Maternity Hospital, Western Street and Third Street, Hong Kong", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 14th day of November, 1938. The work consists of making extensions at Second Floor Level and Roof with all necessary drainage work, etc.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, the sum of $1,000 with the

Accountant-General.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
