NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE

DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. The Firing Notice issued on 9th September, 1938, will be amended as under:

Paragraph 1. Delete "29th September, 1938" "28th and 30th September, 1938 and all alternative dates, except 27th September, 1938.

2. Firing practice will be carried out from Pakshawan Battery between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. on 29th September, 1938.

Firing Practice will be carried out from Pakshawan Battery between the hours of 6.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. on 30th September, 1938.

Alternative dates-4th, 5th and 7th October, 1938.

Firing Area A will be affected.

3. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing area affected, or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.

Until further notification a mooring craft will be working in the Fairway off Cape Collinson. Ships are warned to proceed with caution when passing this craft.
