POLICE DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 336.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of Rations to Indian Police", for the supply and delivery of the articles therein mentioned as required to Police Stations from the 1st January, 1939 to the 31st December, 1939 inclusive, will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 3rd October, 1938.
No tender will be considered unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited with the Accountant-General the sum of $100 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if such person refuses to carry out his tender.
A ration consists of the following:-

Ghee shall conform to the following specification :
Ghee shall be pure ghee composed of clarified butter, and of such quality that upon analysis the following standards are attained or excelled :—

For forms of tender and any other information apply at the Police Department, Police Headquarters.
The successful tenderer will be required to sign an agreement and to give security to the satisfaction of the Government in the sum of $500.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 337.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in quintuplicate which should be clearly marked "Tenders for Repairs to Grab Dredger No. 1", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 19th day of September, 1938, for slipping, repairing and painting Government Grab Dredger No. 1.
A list of work may be obtained at the Government Slipway, Yaumati.
The work to be carried out to the satisfaction of the Government Marine Surveyor.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
