No. S. 273.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in quintuplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of a Wooden Single Screw Steam Tug", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 22nd day of August, 1938.
The Tug is to be constructed in accordance with a plan and a Specification which may be obtained at the Office of the Government Marine Surveyor, Harbour Office. A sum of $500 is required to be deposited with the Accountant-General and the plan and specification will be available on production of his receipt for the above amount. The deposit will be released on the return of the plan and specification and the submission of a bona fide tender.
The Tug and equipment are to be supplied of first quality material and workman- ship to the entire satisfaction of the Government Marine Surveyor.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No. S. 274.-It is hereby notified that the following Sale of Crown Land by Public Auction will be held at the District Office, South, Queen's Building, 2nd floor, Hong Kong, at 11 a.m., on Friday, the 26th day of August, 1938.
The Lot is sold for the term of Seventy-five years from the 1st day of July, 1898, with the right of renewal for a further term of 24 years less the last 3 days at a re-assessed Crown Rent as a Building Lot for Soy Factory purpose, subject to the General Conditions of Sale published in Government Notification No. 364 of 1934, and to Special Condition No. 2 (a) and (b).
The amount to be spent in rateable improvements to the satisfaction of the District Officer, South, within two years from the date of sale is $2,000.
