PRISONS DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 259. It is hereby notified, that separate tenders in triplicate, which. should be sealed and clearly marked " lender for the purchase of old machine parts, etc.", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 29th August, 1938, for the purchase of old machine parts and metal dross from the Hong Kong. Prison, Stanley.
No tender will be considered unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited with the Accountant-General the sum of $10 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person refuses to carry out his tender in the event of his tender being accepted. Deposits will be returned when the name of the successful tenderer is published.
For forms of tender, inspection of old machine parts, etc. and further particulars. apply at the office of the Hong Kong Prison, Stanley.
No tender will be considered unless submitted in triplicate on the forms provided.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender.
