The rainfall for the month of October at the Botanical Gardens was (ins. 02 on 2 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was (is. 03 on 2 days, at Fanling, Oins. 51 on 3 days, at the Royal Naval Hospital, Hong Kong, (ins. 31 on 2 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, Qins. 27 on 3 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 817 at 15h. on the 1st. The maximum gust velocity, as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 34 miles per hour at 2b. 59m. on the 17th.
