No. 588.lis Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, the Honourable Mr. ROBERT HORMUS KOTEWALL, C.M.G., LL.D., to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council in the place of the Ilonourable Sir SHOUSON CHOW, Kt., who is temporarily absent from the Colony.

SUPREME COURT.

No. 589. The Offices of the Supreme Court will be open daily from 10 a.m. to p.m. during the Long Vacation, except on Public and General Holidays, when the offices will be entirely closed, and on Saturdays, when they will be open from 10 a.m. to noon, subject, however, to the provisions of section 5 of the Supreme Court (Vacations) Ordinance, 1898, so far as it relates to the Criminal Sessions. The Long Vacation com- mences on the 20th instant, and terminates on the 17th October, 1930, (both days inclu- sive).
