The rainfall for the month of April at the Botanical Gardens was 2ins. 26 ou S days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was ins. 82 on 8 days, at Fanling, it was 2ins. 42 on 6 days, at the Royal Naval Hospital, Hong Kong, it was 20. 04 on 7 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, it was 2ins. 80 on 8 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 615 at 3 on the 25th The maximum gust velocity, as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 41 miles per hour at 7.57m on the 2nd.
