An Ordinance to amend the Deportation Ordi-

nance, 1917.

BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Deportation Short title. Amendment Ordinance, 1929.

2. Sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Deportation Ördi- Amendment uance, 1917, is amended by the deletion of the words "On of Ordinance any occasion which the Governor in Council may consider No. 2 of to be an occasion of emergency or public danger" in the first and second lines thereof, and by the insertion of the words "at any time" immediately after the word in the third line thereof.

3. Sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Deportation Amendment Ordinance, 1917, is amended by the substitution of the of Ordinance words "Form No. 7A" for the words "Form No, 7" in No. 25 of the second line thereof.

4. Section 7 of the Deportation Ordinance, 1917, is Amendment amended by the insertion of the words "made under of Ordinance, section 4" immediately after the words "order" in the No. 25 of 1917, s. 7. first line thereof.

5. The following form is inserted in the Schedule to Insertion of the Deportation Ordinance, 1917, immediately after Form new Form No. 7.

Whereas it appears to the Governor in Council that ..should be prohibited under the provisions of the Deportation Ordinance, 1917, from being within the Colony for the space of years (or for life) from the date hereof

The Governor in Council doth hereby by virtue of the said Ordinance order that the above-naned person be prohibited and the said person is hereby prohibited from being in the Colony for the space of time aforesaid from the said date, and doth further order that the period of .....days from the said date be fixed as the time within which the said person shall depart from the Colony aforesaid.

This order is made under sub-section..........of section 3 of the Deportation Ordinance, 1917.
