PRISON DEPARTMENT.
No. 1044.-With reference to Government Notification No. 698 of 1900, separate tenders for the supply of the Articles therein mentioned, from the 1st February, 1907, to the 31st January, 1908, inclusive, will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Saturday, the 29th December, 1906.
No tender will be considered, unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $400 as a pledge of the bonâ fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person refuses to carry out his tender.
For form of tender apply at the Colonial Secretary's Office.
For any other information apply at the Office of the Superintendent, Prison Department. The successful tenderer will be required to sign an agreement and to give security to the satisfaction of the Government in the sum of $2,000.

No. 1045.-Particulars and Conditions of the letting by Public Auction Sale, to be held on Monday, the 24th day of December, 1906, at 3 p.m., at the Offices of the Public Works Department, by Order of His Excellency the Governor of One Lot of Crown Land at Hung Hom in the Colony of Hongkong, for a term of 99 years, with the option of renewal at a Crown Rent to be fixed by the Surveyor of His Majesty the KING, for one further term of 99 years.

CONDITIONS OF SALE.
1. The highest bidder above the upset price shall be the Purchaser, and if any dispute arise between two or more bidders, the Lot shall be put up again at a former bidding.
2. No person shall at any bidding advance less than $200.
3. Immediately after the fall of the hammer, the Purchaser of the Lot shall sign the Memorandum of Agreement, hereinafter contained, for completing the purchase accord- ing to these Conditions, and shall, within Three Days of the day of sale, pay into the Colonial Treasury the full amount of Premium at which the Lot shall have been purchased by him.
4. The Purchaser of the Lot shall also pay into the Colonial Treasury, on behalf of His Majesty the KING, the sum of $25 within three days of the day of sale, for and in consideration of the Boundary Stones, properly cut, fixed, and marked with the Registry Number, which shall be placed by the Director of Public Works, for the Purchaser, at each angle of the Lot.
5. The Purchaser of the Lot shall pay to the Land Officer, on behalf of His Majesty the KING, a Fee of $30 upon the execution of the Crown Lease thereof.
