9. In these regulations :---

Ocean-going ship" includes every description of vessel propelled

by steam or oil except the following:-

(a.) Steamships and motor boats not exceeding 60 tons net

register tonnage.

(b.) River steamers.

"Port" means the waters of the Colony within the following lines :-

West-A line drawn North-West by North from the Eastern end of the Eastern Dyeing Company's factory build- ing to the South-East extreme of Little Green Island, thence a line South 75° West to the South-West extreme of Green Island to meet a line North 27° East from the West extreme of Green Island to the West extreme of Stonecutters, and thence to Torpedo Pier at Lai Chi Kok, North 11° East, all bearings being magnetic.

East:-

-A line drawn from the West point of Siu Chau Wan to the West point of A. Kung Ngam.

'River steamer includes all vessels propelled by steam or oil which ply regularly between the Colony and either Macao or some place or places in the Provinces of Kwong Tung or Kwong Sai and which do not ply to any other place.

"Vessel" includes every ship and boat and every other description of craft used in navigation or for the carriage of goods or passengers.

10. These regulations may be cited as the Port Regulations, 1918.

11. The Port Regulations, 1917, and the Port Regulations (No. 2), are hereby repealed.

Police Examination Anchorage.

No. 498.-The following shall be the Police Examination Anchorage for the purposes of Regulation 4 of the Port Regulations, 1918:-

Northern boundary.-Naval shears, Kowloon, bearing East by South.

Southern boundary.-Naval shears, Kowloon, bearing East.

Eastern boundary.--South Point, Stonecutters Island, bearing North.

Western boundary.—A line from the Westernmost point of Stonecutters Island

to the Westernmost point of Green Island.
