No. 1037.—It is hereby notified that Messrs. JARDINE, MATHESON & Co., of Victoria in the Colony of Hongkong, Merchants, have complied with the requirements of Ordinance 6 of 1898, for the registration in this Colony of their Mark No. 229 of 1906, as applied to Flour, in Class 42; and that the same has been duly registered.

No. 1038.It is hereby notified that Mr. LEON PERMEZEL trading at No. 7 Rue de l'Arbre Sec Lyon in the Republic of France as "L. PERMEZEL ET COMPAGNIE," has com- plied with the requirements of Ordinance 6 of 1898, for the registration in this Colony of his Mark No. 230 of 1906, as applied to Silk piece goods, in Class 31; and that the same has been duly registered.

HARBOUR MASTER'S DEPARTMENT.

No. 1039.-Inforination has been received from the Military Authorities that Gun Practice will be carried out as under:-

:--

On Monday, the 17th December:-

From Lyemun, in a North-Easterly direction, at ranges up to 6,000 yards,

commencing at 6.30 p.m., and finishing at 9 p.m.

On Thursday, the 27th December:--

From Stonecutters, in a Westerly direction, at ranges up to 6,000 yards, com-

mencing at 6.30 p.ni., and finishing at 9 p.m.

On Monday, the 31st December:

From Lyemun, in a North-Easterly direction, at ranges up to 6,000 yards,

commencing at 6.30 p.m., and finishing at 9 p.m.

If the weather is unfavourable on any of the above dates, practice will take place on the following day.

All ships, junks and other vessels are to keep clear of the ranges.

No. 1040.-The following information has been received from the Acting Cominis- sioner of Customs, Canton:-

"The Notice to Mariners, No. 78, published in page 2154 of Government Gazette, December 7th, 1906, re Chain Rock Light-house, Canton River, should be amended as under :-

Longitude.........113° 37′ 20′′ E.”
