No. 449. With reference to Government Notification No. 284 of the 3rd August, 1914, it is hereby notified that all restrictions as to the use of Wireless Telegraphy by Merchant Vessels on the China Station have been abolished.

No. 450.-It is hereby notified that, on the application of the STANDARD OIL COM- PANY OF NEW YORK, a corporation organised under the laws of the State of New York in the United States of America, His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government in Council has been pleased to direct that the said STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF NEW YORK may use and publish in the Colony for a period of one year from the 2nd day of Novem- ber, 1918, an invention for a Fire Extinguishing Apparatus without prejudice to the Letters Patent to be granted for the said invention.
No. 451. It is hereby notified that, on the application of MARIAN OBREMBSKI, HERBERT CHARLES RESKER and Messrs. BUTTERFIELD & SWIRE as agents for the Taikoo Sugar Refining Company, Limited, all of Victoria, in the Colony of Hongkong, His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government in Council has been pleased to direct that the said MARIAN OBREMBSKI, HERBERT CHARLES RESKER and Messrs. BUTTER- FIELD & SWIRE as agents for the Taikoo Sugar Refining Company, Limited, may use and publish in the Colony for a further period of six months from the 7th day of November, 1918, an invention for the Preparation or manufacture of a vegetable decolorizing carbon called "Albit" without prejudice to the Letters Patent to be granted for the said inven- tion.
