APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 433.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint, under Section 4 of the Education Ordinance, 1913, Ordinance No. 26 of 1913, Mr. REGINALD EDWARD OLIVER BIRD to act as Director of Education, in addition to his other duties during the absence on leave of Mr. EDWARD ALEXANDER IRVING, Or until further notice, with effect from the 25th October, 1918.

No. 434.-With reference to Government Notification No. 425 of the 25th October, 1918, it is hereby notified that His Excellency the Officer Administering the Govern- ment has declared Mr. ARTHUR RYLANDS LOWE to be duly elected a Member of the Licensing Board for three years, with effect from the 5th November, 1918, in accordance with the Rules published in the Gazette of the 7th January, 1910.
