NOTE (6). It is not unusual for firms in Holland and the Netherland East Indies to be regis- tered under names commencing with descriptive terms such as Handel Maatschappy" (Trading Company) or "Naamlooze Venootschap" (Limited Liability Company). In such cases it has been found more convenient to publish the firm under its proper name, followed by the general descriptive term "Handel Maatschappy" or "Naamlooze Venootschap" (N.V.), as in the case of an English company. For instance, Handel Maatschappy Louvre and Naamlooze Venootschap de Komeet v/h Dumonceau. Frères will be found under Louvre and Komeet respectively, and not necessarily under "Handel" or "Naamlooze," though cross references may be given.

NOTE (7).—The Medan Handel Maatschappij (Raden Soenarto), of Medan, which was placed on the Statutory List on the 12th July, 1918, is quite distinct from the Medansche Handel Maats- chappij, voorheen Th. Konow Söeberg & Co., also of Medan. There is no objection to the latter firm.

No. 405.—It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government in Council has, under Section 7 of the Holidays Ordinance, 1912, Ordi- nance No. 5 of 1912, appointed Monday, the 25th day of November, 1918, to be observed as a General Holiday in substitution for Monday, the 11th day of November, 1918.
