The rainfall for the month of September at the Botanical Gardens was 19.87 ins. on 17 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 17.33 ins. on 13 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, it was 13:17 ins. on 14 days.

No. 400.-It is hereby notified for general information that, pursuant to Section 5 of the Criminal Procedure Ordinances, 1899-1913, His Honour the Chief Justice has ordered that the next Criminal Sessions for the despatch of the business of the Court shall be held on Monday, the 21st day of October, 1918, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon.
