The rainfall for the month of October at the Botanical Gardens was (ins. 11 on 2 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was Oins. 11 on 2 days, at the Royal Hong Kong Golf Club, Fanling, it was Oins. 00 on 0 day, at the Royal Naval Hospital, Hong Kong, it was Oins. 13 on 2 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, it was Oins. 00 on 0 day.

The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 816 at 15h. on the 10th. The maximum gust velocity, as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 37 miles per hour at 3h. 26m. on the 14th.
