EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

No. 552.-It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor in Council has given directions for the rescission of the Order of the 15th August, 1929, published in the Gazette of the 16th August, 1929, as Government Notification No. 403, declaring Shanghai to be a place at which an infectious or contagious disease prevailed, and the same is hereby rescinded.

Regulation made by the Governor in Council under section 3 of the Vehicles and Traffic Regulation Ordinance, 1912, Ordinance No. 49 of 1912, on the 31st day of October, 1929.

The Traffic Regulations set forth on pages 617-655 of the Regulations of Hong Kong, 1841-1925, amended as appears in Government Notifications Nos. 368 of 1926, 331 of 1927, 586 of 1928 and 27 and 334 of 1929, are hereby further amended by the rescission of regulation 7 and the substitution of the following regulation therefor,

7. No fee shall be payable in respect of either vehicle or driver's licence where,--

(a) the vehicle belongs to the Government, the Governor, the Naval Com- mander-in-Chief, the General Officer Commanding the Troops, the Commodore or the Colonial Secretary; or

(b) the vehicle is ordinarily or frequently used on Government service and the owner thereof is the holder of a current certificate, signed by the Colonial Secretary, that the vehicle is so used.
