EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

No. 508.-His Excellency the Governor in Council has been pleased to direct under section 7 of the Public Health and Buildings Ordinance, 1903, Ordinance No. 1 of 1903, that the name of Mr. JAMES BENTLEY HAWKER be added to the List of Authorized Architects published in Government Notification No. 643 of the 21st November, 1928.

No. 509.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under the provisions of section 10 of the Medical Registration Ordinance, 1884, Ordinance No. 1 of 1884, Doctor STUART SEGUIN STRAHAN to be a Member of the Medical Board for a further term of three years, with effect from 14th September, 1929.

No. 510. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Sergeant HUBERT GLADSTONE WILLIAMS to be Second Lieutenant in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 20th September, 1929.

No. 511. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint, provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, the Honourable Mr. ROBERT HORMUS KOTEWALL, C.M.G., LL.D., to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council in the place of the Honourable Sir SuOLSON CHow, Kt., who is temporarily absent from the Colony.

His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. THOMAS WILLIAM HAROLD HOSEGOOD to act as Harbour Master in addition to his other duties during the absence of Commander GEORGE FRANCIS HOLE, R.N., (Retired), or until further notice, with effect from 26th September, 1929.
