TSUN WAN

That area of water between Ma Wan Island () and the Mainland, bounded on the East by a line drawn due north from the N.E. extremity of Ma Wan to the Mainland, and on the West by a line drawn due North from the N.W. extremity of Ma Wan to the Mainland.

No. 479.-The following Finding of the Marine Court of Enquiry held on the 11th September, 1929, to enquire into a charge of misconduct on the part of Mr. W. C, C. Becks, ex Mate of the British Steamship Kong Book Cheong, is published for general information.

FINDING.

We find that at 6.45 p.m. on August 2nd, 1929, the British S.S. Kwong Fook Cheong Official No. 152,106 of Hong Kong of which Mr. William Perritt (Certificate of Compe- tency as Master No. 001820 of Glasgow was Master) left Hong Kong on a voyage for Kong Moon.

That Mr. William Claude Cyril Beeks who was on the Articles of the said ship as Chief Officer and who holds Certificate of Competency as 1st Mate (River Trade only) No. 3691 of Hong Kong did miss the ship without sufficient cause not having previously obtained leave from the Master.

We find that the aforesaid Mr. W. C. C. Becks committed an act of gross misconduct and we therefore adjudge that his Certificate of Competency aforesaid be suspended for three months.

We further adjudge that the suspension of three months should take effect as from the 21st August, 1929.

Given under our hands at Victoria, in the Colony of Hong Kong, this 11th day of September, 1929.
