The rainfall for the month of July at the Botanical Gardens was 23ins. 23 on 24 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 11ins. 73 on 24 days, at the Royal Hong Kong Golf Club, Fanling, it was 24ins. 64 on 24 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, it was 20ins. 87 on 17 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 430 at 17h. on the 19th.
The maximum gust velocity, as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 49 miles per hour at 11h. 30m. on the 27th.
